Job Description

The Solar Customer Support Representative (SCSR) reports to the Service Manager and is responsible for assisting our Customer & Service team in answering general questions and processing our ongoing Field Maintenance & Warranty work. Our company is growing and expanding Services across Texas. Currently this is a position working remote but reporting to the office may be required.

The Solar Customer Support Representative (SCSR) will be required to answer company phones as deemed necessary to maintain exceptional customer service. Knowledge of solar monitoring systems is needed to troubleshoot customers systems. The Solar Customer Support Representative (SCSR) will help manage short and long-term projects for Solar Service, Commercial Solar & Residential electrical projects.
The SCSR is responsible for creating an exceptional customer experience while supporting all facets of the task and projects to completion. Must be a self-starter, detailed-oriented, energetic and able to take initiative and problem-solve while working in a fast-paced, team environment.
The SCSR is responsible for handling multiple tasks/projects at a time and must be proficient and effective in communicating by phone, email and text with customers, vendors, utilities and city governments. The SCSR will be required to answer company phones as deemed necessary to maintain exceptional customer service.
The SCSR will also assist with projects and other assignments as requested by Management.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and professional customer support – you are the primary customer advocate
  • Provide continuous customer interactions throughout all phases of the task or project
  • Prepare and submit all documents and permits required to support multiple projects at the same time
  • Ensure timely collection of supporting documents
  • Work and communicate with all company personnel, including: Management, Sales, Accounting, Field and Office staff – the ability to communicate effectively is critical.
  • Organize and schedule residential and commercial field service tasks and projects.
    Enter, maintain and update customer job information in internal CRM, customers CRM and company storage drives on a daily basis
  • Identify and propose process improvements & development as well as build company resource databases.
  • Update project management software with appropriate statuses
  • Create necessary reports upon request
  • Follow all office policies and procedures
  • Maintain a positive work environment and attitude
 
 

Requirements

 It is not required that you’ve worked in the solar industry; however, experience in customer service, problem solving, multitasking, construction or project management is a plus.

  • Must be confident and comfortable with phone, text and email interaction with customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and to know when to escalate issues and/or decision making to next level of management
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude and the desire to learn & grow professionally
  • Must possess the ability to handle multiple projects at the same
  • Excellent organizational, time management skills and people skills
  • Strong work ethic, integrity and the ability to make good decisions
  • Must attend daily, weekly and company-wide meetings as determined by the manger
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (MS Word, Excel) and CRM software.
  • Knowledge in database and file management, and other administrative procedures
  • 4-year BA or equivalent work experience in project coordination or related field prefered
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • NABCEP (preferred)
  • OSHA 10 (preferred)
  • Solar experience is a plus but not required

Job Description

The Wells Solar Design Department is seeking to fill several positions for Site Surveyors in the DFW and Central Texas area. The perfect candidate has prior “hands on” installation knowledge and is looking to build on and expand their development to residential and commercial design and layouts. Candidates should have 1-3 years practical experience installing solar, knowledge of electrical components, local codes and computer knowledge.

This position provides an excellent opportunity for those individuals wanting to expand their career within the solar industry. Our designers are trained and certified with Remote Pilot Certification. Training and advancement available for the proper candidates.

We are a small team that gets the job done, the ideal candidate must be able to work independently and in a group and virtual setting.

Job Requirements

  • Travel to project sites to obtain necessary information to complete technical design documents for a solar system
  • Create a rooftop map for solar arrays including roof layout dimensions and all roof penetrations (pipes, vents, etc)
  • Develop a relationship with customers to establish rapport and to gather facilities assessment data as needed
  • Conduct a physical site audit using auditing tools including a tablet/phone with apps and measuring devices
  • Upload site audit as needed to coordinate with the design department to produce permit-ready documents within 24 hours.
  • Follow operating procedures for site audit to ensure a smooth handoff between departments
  • Provide and maintain a current driver’s license and a clean driving record to safely operate a company vehicle.
  • Develop relationships with sales team, design professionals and subcontractors to support the business activities
  • Gather detailed structural data on multiple types of buildings
  • Identifies and documents any issues and or obstructions that may effect design and production of proposed system
  • Gathers all electric data required by the company, including detailed photographs to support findings
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Qualifications
  • Entry level minimum of (1-3) years experience related to solar and or construction/roofing
  • Solar installation experience is preferred
  • High School, GED or Trade School degree in a discipline related to construction or solar required

Field Service Technician (Solar)

Duties & Responsibilties

  • Works in assigned territory for electrical troubleshooting, module cleaning, adherence to safety procedures, process improvement, innovation, and electronic monitoring set-up.

  • Performs electrical installations, solar electrical systems and delivers optimal customer service skills.

  • Follows safe working practices and company guidelines and procedures.

  • Performs maintenance, warranty, and other technical services on residential PV systems.

  • System failures, weather related events, and other emergency situations which may require a flexible work schedule. This will be needed to perform troubleshooting and any repairs as assigned.

  • Assists the construction and quality departments to commission and maintain all residential PV systems.

  • Responds to customer and company maintenance demands and shifts priorities as required.

  • Communicates via phone, text and email to clients, personnel, vendors, and internal employees in a professional manner.

  • Collects data and creates reports as needed for appropriate company personnel and updates systems.

  • Creates an estimate of time and materials to perform tasks and requests material promptly.

  • Maintains service vehicle for cleanliness, readiness and follows safety standards for compliance.

  • Maintains company assigned tools, safety gear and tools as required.

  • Attends training sessions from internal and external resources as advised by management.

  • Assist with completion of the installation documentation

  • Ability to understand all project plans and specifications

Electrician - Wireman/Journeyman

Job Description

We are searching for an electrician to build, direct and oversee the electrical portions of the installation including wiring, grounding, interconnection. Electricians will maintain a state certification in the field of Electrical Wireman or higher. You can expect to install and direct the work of all electrical portions of a solar PV system; either roof or ground-mounted.
